Email:101 is the original 101 Training course. We’ve delivered this workshop to hundreds of PRs over the last 20 years.
In April 2024 we will be launching an online version of the email:101 pitching course that will guide account executives through the strategies needed to successfully pitch journalists.
Email:101 reflects the reality that most communication between PR professionals and journalists now happens online. That saves time, but how do we ensure that a pitch is read? When journalists receive hundreds of pitches every week, how can PR professionals get their messages to stand out? And what are journalists really looking for?
If you’ve ever wondered about these questions, email:101 is the workshop for you. It’s a great companion course to our SEO for B2B training workshop. See our current range of training courses here.
The course covers:
- Understanding journalists and what they do
- Differences between trade, national and consumer press
- News v Features pitching
- Using media request services like Response Source
- Common pitching mistakes
- Pitching on social media v email
- Crafting the perfect pitch
